STUDENT PHOTOJOURNALIST TO RECEIVE FIRST AMENDMENT DEFENDER AWARD

University of Missouri student and freelance photojournalist Tim Tai will be awarded a First Amendment Defender Award by the Radio Television Digital News Foundation on March 16. Tai is receiving the award for defending journalists’ rights to cover protests in public places despite threats of violence, the news release stated.
