High school student editors and teacher-advisers are invited to attend a half-day journalism seminar Saturday, January 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. The free seminar offers skills training in essential journalism techniques including news writing and reporting, multimedia journalism tips, and practical ways to use the Web as a platform to improve reporting and storytelling.
All high school students and media educators in Washington, D.C., and The Washington Post circulation areas in Maryland and Virginia are invited to participate in the seminar. A light breakfast will be provided; participants will be responsible for their own lunch.
