Video: Free Speech, Cartoons and the Prophet

On Nov. 13, 2014, the Newseum Institute’s Gene Policinski was joined by Jyllands-Posten cultural editor Flemming Rose for a discussion about the Danish newspaper’s still-disputed decision to publish a series of cartoons satirizing the prophet Mohammed in 2005.

Journalism/Works is an ongoing program of the Newseum Institute that focuses on journalism that matters — news reports in print, broadcast and online that produce change, provide insight and that fulfill the “watchdog on government” mission envisioned for a free press in the First Amendment.
